Blick auf den Neubau mit Hof, Landschaftsarchitektur DGJ Landscapes

SIA International congratulates the team of DGJ Landscapes, that their project Collegium Academicum is awared with the "Exemplary Building” Baden-Württemberg 2023 prize by the Architektenkammer Baden-Württemberg AKBW. Paris-based Daniel Jauslin is a member of SIA International as well as an adviser and candidate for the board of SIA International. DGJ Landscapes is a specialist for Garden- and Landscape Architecture in Zurich and Marly-le-Roi near Versailles.

After a 10 years of work on the project DGJ Architektur, the office founded in Frankfurt 1999 by Hans Drexler, Marc Guinand and Daniel Jauslin recieved the highest award of the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects. DGJ Architektur would like to thank the akbw, the jury, the collegiumacademicum and all our great cooperation partners, without whom this project could not have been realised.

And this is what the jury says: "[…] A simple wooden construction without metal fasteners cleverly forms the static framework for the various room divisions of the individual flats. Clever, flexible partition walls can be changed in the self-construction and thus make it possible to react to the needs of the individual residents. The design of the surfaces allows both the people and the building to change constantly. […]"

With the "Exemplary Building" award, the Baden-Württemberg Chamber of Architects, under the patronage of Lord Mayor Prof. Dr. Eckart Würzner, together with the City of Heidelberg, recognises building projects that can be considered "exemplary all round". The award ceremony wil l be held 21st February 2024
