ARCH-E 2nd Project Conference

The 2nd ARCH-E Project consortium meeting was organized by the Bundesarchitektenkammer BAK in Berlin and hosted by the Architektenkammer Berlin. SIA International is a cooperation partner of this Creative Europe EU-funded project that includes 10 project partners, 5 cooperation partners, 1 vision: Enhance, promote and support the Architectural Design Competitions ADCs. SIA international coordinates the Swiss project input.

Many thanks to Architektenkammer Berlin, Torsten Förster and his team for the hospitality. The architectural landmark buliduing by Erfich Mendelsohn has been an adequate conference location to reflect on the different ADC systems in Europe and to discuss the upcoming ARCH-E glossary of 100 keywords describing ADC procedures in all countries. Martin Joos and Simon Hubacher, both board members of SIA International, participated in the conference and provided inputs with regard to ADC facilitation in Switzerland (www.wegweiser-planungsbeschaffung.ch). Further presentations were provided by ADC experts Edda Kurz, Benjamin Hossbach (Member of Network for Architecture Exchange NAX) and Rainer Post.
